Precision Sub Assembly Technology (PSAT)
is a spin-off of Precision Surface Technology (PST) of Allentown, PA,
incorporated twelve years ago engaging in dicing, polishing and
sputtering of wafers for the semi-conductor and sensor industries.
Precision Eagles close proximity to AT&T Microelectronics facilities
brought rapid growth to PSAT.
As an extension of existing services, PST
began to populate boards; mostly prototypes for experimental or R&D
purposes. That side of the business grew larger, and PST expanded into
processing photoplots. The acquisition of the present building
solidified PST and made possible the spin-off of Precision Sub
Assembly Technology (PSAT).
Precision Sub Assembly Technology is a
contract manufacturer with skills in design engineering of both
hardware and software. The coming about by the requests of several
customers to assist with "cleaning up" existing designed for
production and modification and simplification of existing designs.
Presently, we are working with several customers in development of new
products. PSAT also is involved in the design and manufacture of
customer power supplies. Additionally, PSAT has capabilities to design
and produce various RF and Microwave devices.
Outside talent was subsequently brought in
to sustain and increase the highly technical services and growth of
PSAT. Due to equity participation of new arrivals, PSAT restructured
into a minority owned small business. Growth has been such that PSAT
is pursuing certification under the 8(a) program of the SBA.
PSAT enjoys a solid financial position and
continues to be backed by the strength of Precision Surface
Technology.
Diversification into other areas resulted
in another spin-off company, Precision Filter Technology. Principals
of Precision Sub Assembly Technology own and control Precision Filter
Technology.
Precision Filter Technology (PFT) designs
filters for microwave, cable TV, custom applications for satellites,
radar and communications. The manufacturing arm for PFT is Precision
Sub Assembly Technology.
Originally servicing in-house needs, we
now service such local and national customers with their needs for
Commercially Priced parts fabricated under strict Military Quality
Environment. Our quality system meets MIL-I45208, MIL Q 9858.
MILC-45662. The workmanship meets MIL-STD-454, MIL-STD-2000 (with
