Text Box: Quality Control:
Text Box: The Quality Control program at PSAT is in compliance with MIL-I-45208, MIL-Q-9858, ISO 9001-2000. The Quality Control (QC) Department maintains the necessary authority to take any required action and has the final decision in all matters affecting quality, reliability or longevity of the product.
Multiple measuring tools, equipment and instruments enable the QC Department to conduct effective inspection activities. From the sine table (marble), calipers, micrometers, gauges, plug gauges, etc., up to the comparator, QC is well equipped to measure and certify any mechanical part.
Chemical finishes can undergo analysis under the direction of an on staff Chemical Engineer, one of the principals of Precision Surface Technology and Precision Sub Assembly Technology.
For inspection of electrical components and parts, the QC Department is equipped with the traditional assortment of instruments, height precision RLC bridges and Q meters, up to network analyzers where testing parameters to 10GHz can be performed. Workmanship inspection is conducted using the normal tools of the trade and enhanced with additional apparatus such as x-ray, ionograph, and a special vision system (used for inspection of complex assemblies such as EGS’s). Statistical process control is implemented when the nature of the job makes this tool applicable.
